Howdy-do from Heidi Lou!
I'm doin purty good today. It's sooo stinkin quiet around here already?! Everybody's goin home....kinda weird. hmmm. it's probably better anyway since i have beyond
enough homework that i actually have to do. grrr.
PS> IT's FREAKIN ANARCTICA OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!
I could build a stinkin Snowman!?! .......bitterness. I very much dislike cold weather!
PS #2> I"M movin to the EQUATOR!
Ok. Tata for now! Happy days everyone!
"OHHHHH HOLD UP...........wait a minute!"
I have officially become overly OBSESSED with Micheal Buble'. I now have 2 cds as of yesterday, and I think he and I are getting married?!! haha!

There's nothin like having a numb mouth, and no, i do not mean this metaphorically. I love drooling uncontrollably while sitting in my english class. That's how I pick up all those guys.....HA! NOT! Well anyhoot, I had a dentist appointment this mornin which was just dandy, and then i quickly returned to MOSO for class by 11. Since then, I have been groaning about how much STINKIN work this professor assigns within such a short amount of time, but praise the lordie cuz I only have 8 weeks left of english FOREVER!! No more after this! YEAY!
Well, life is good=busy! I'm gonna go eat din din with some friends, which always promises a good ole time! I'm excited! They are funny lil tikes!
(That's my grampa and I! Isn't he the cutest lil kiddo!?)
So, I saw my g-pa and g-ma this weekend. I MISS them soo stinkin much!!! They are soo funny. It was the first time g-pa has been able to go to church since he was diagnosed. He made me feel so special cuz he's really weak and skinny, yet he hopped out of his chair with a big smile on his face to give me a big hug and a "hey heidibelle!" He has lost sooooo much weight, it's scary. I was so happy to see him, but it was really sad too because it reminded me of his condition and his pain. He always said that a "heidibelle" hug made everything better, well, it doesn't anymore; well hopefully, I can be an encouragement, and that he can depend on me, my siblings, cousins (etc) to be praying for him and our family, according to the wonderful example he's been all these years!
Anyhoot, I'm checkin out to do some homework!
PS, this past weekend was FANTASTIC with all the girls (in grove).. soomee good times let me tell you! I just love laughin with them,,,, and AT them. haha. Shall elaborate later! Much love from MOSO!
PS #2: I LOVE MICHAEL BUBLE'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone should get/hear the cd. it's some good stinkin stuff! I'm slightly obsessed!
Ok, i'm done for real this time!

HellLLooOO!
Long time no....ahh... post?! Well anyhoot, Life's been super duper crazy! This would definitely be the 8th week of school, and by golly, I'm READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! And also, I think I'm the laziest Honors student in the world! I hate homework, and therefore, I procrastinate from doing ANY for hours......and hours, while I am entertained with Facebook, Xanga, Full House (which is on ALL day, it's great!), and just about anything I can do to distract me!
I'm SUPER excited to go home this weekend cuz THE FAB 5 minus 1 is gonna party like it's 1999! Let me rephrase that one...we'll probably sit/lay on Jill's kitchen floor eating her mom's absolutely WONDERFUl food, and chit chat/girl talk/share/pray....we are WILD kids let me tell you! But I just realized that this will be one of the last times we'll be together (for ReAl this time) cuz Jill is moving to Cyprus in January. Of course, the 31st of Dec is Jess's wedding (which by the way hannah, I'm still planning on keeping up the challenge on that bet of ours. dates that would actually be good/fun are hard to come by these days..but we'll see!??) So anyhoot, the reign of the Fab 5 is doin well and it's gonna be good times and great oldies this weekend!
Also, good luck to all of you with Mid Terms. woot woot. But just keep thinkin ahead to your fall break, CUZ, I'm super jealous...I have Exams all this week as well, but NO FALL BREAK!! I'm slightly bitter! MOSO is a lil cornfused about the whole "break" idea I guess! I have now completed my first two exams, and I only have 3 left to Go! WOOT WOOT! Obviously, I should be studying.... but my motivation is minimal!! well. Non existent! haha.
So, I have totally made the greatest friends here at Southern. I just love them dearly, and it is CRAZY how our friendships are like totally ordained by the big guy. He couldn't have blessed me with any better group of girls. Last Friday, we had a "Spa Party," where we all were given massages (hands, arms, feet, etc) and spa treatments, and then Saturday, I took Shannan, Stacy (sisters), Hayley, and Sarah to Grove, and we went out on the lake for 4 hours or so.....IT WAS SOOOOOOO COLD! We were totally CraZy for doin so, cuz we've all been loadin up on the coughdrops and rolls of toilet paper for kleenex. It was 57 degrees when we were out. We wakeboarded, tubed, jet-skiied, and then inbetween wore sweatshirts and shivered! Yep, blue was a pretty skin color that day! but It was SOOO fun! and I 100% love them all. Good stinkin times! They are totally hilarious!
Ohhhhhlkay, here's my entry for the week, since I've been slackin! I've got lots of funny stories to disclose, but I do not find them appropriate for a public entry....so it looks like girl talk is gonna be fun this weekend! I just love you guys!
Anyhoot, Hope everyone is doin great! Good luck on your mid-terms and have a great fall break. ha- that rhymes! props to me! Much love from MOSO!
and
Lovin' you from Heidi Lou

“Reflection Defined”
“Mirror mirror on the wall, have I got it? Cause mirror you’ve always told me, who I am. I’m finding it’s not easy to be perfect, but sorry you won’t define me. Sorry, you don’t own me. Mirror I am seeing a new reflection. I’m looking into the eyes of who made me. And to Him I am beauty beyond compare. I know He defines me.”-Barlow Girl. Self image includes infinite personal and social aspects, but through continued studies, I came to realize that self image is rather the result of the different aspects of life than the foundation. Primarily, our society automatically refers to self image as body image. Humanity lives and judges visually, therefore, I believe this to be the reason for the confusion. Comparatively, both ideas pose the proposition of self worth: where it is sourced, how it is recognized, and what difference it makes. Ideally, self image encompasses all aspects of life such as character, intelligence, and physical attraction; body image focuses only on the physical appearance of a person.
Self image is the set of beliefs one has regarding his identity. How do you define yourself? One must realize that his or her response might be negative, but at this point one’s internal and external environments have the ability to react. Influences such as family, friends, and the media yield one’s idea of self worth. When the response does not encourage the positive portions of life, negative comebacks such as sickness and depression can occur because of the perception of worthlessness. It could be argued that many mental illnesses come from a battle with self image, whether it is how one perceives, how others view, and what is actually true about one’s identity.
Self image is divided into three categories: “I self,” “me self,” and “physical self.” Of these three subgroups, which should be the most important, or should a balance be the objective? What should we prioritize? What does society prioritize? The “I self,” is the external projection of one’s character, whereas the “me self,” is the internal value/self-esteem one generates according to societal perceptions and expectations. “Physical self” incorporates body image, and how one reacts to his or her age/sexual status. All of the “selves” aim to satisfy the ideas of society. Will humanity ever rest contently?
Body image is how one judges and feels about their reflection in the mirror as well as how they feel inside their body. A positive body image is always the goal but yet it seems to be inaccessible; perfectionism initiates this struggle. People with a negative body image view their body shape or size as a personal shame/failure and therefore have a greater likelihood of developing a sickness such as depression or an eating disorder. The key to developing a positive assessment is to respect one’s physical appearance and learn to overpower negative thoughts with positive, affirming, and accepting ones. However, humanity’s instinctual form of judgment provides us with a never-ending battle.
Again, these ideas provoke the question of what and how you choose to define yourself. Consider these theories. Optimistic influences will create and encourage the positive aspects of life rather than rest in the negative. Self and body images are interchangeable concepts in society, but self worth is a concrete and timeless foundation. Prioritization of the three “selfs” (I, me, and physical), is vital in establishing a positive perception. Though the battle is fought externally, the incentive begins within. Though the challenge is difficult, define what makes you beautiful beyond comparison by searching within before looking at the mirror on the wall.
